To celebrate TechWeek, Te Wā Heke is holding several special FREE events for educators from the Wellington Region.

We would like to offer teachers the chance to develop new skills and knowledge around the role of play and video games in students’ lives to help you better connect and engage students in learning and support their growth and development more broadly.

The goal of this workshop is to provide greater insight into the behaviour patterns that exist in online competitive play, what underpins these behaviours, and how we can best utilise e-sports to drive meaningful behavioural change in students.

This training will show the importance of educating students about core values and behavioural habits, which fosters productive and positive interactions. The learning will be framed around the 6 aspects of sportsmanship and will help teachers use a digital medium to set their students up for a future of online activity.

See https://oce.learnwithleague.com/ for more information.

We ask attendees try their best to arrive on time to hear the full content of the event. Doors will still be open however to any latecomers.
